Prayer is an essential part of our lives as individuals and as a church. It’s the place where we experience and express intimacy with God. It is also the place from which we derive power for life and ministry. 19th century preacher Charles Spurgeon referred to the prayer gatherings of his church as the "boiler room." He believed that prayer was the spiritual power behind the effectiveness of ministry. At Pitlochry Baptist Church, we long to see God come in power. Every Wednesday, we set aside 15 hours as a church family to pray; taking at least an hour each to seek God. Yes, of course, we pray at other times. But we’re excited to seek the Lord in this way. We’re compelled by God’s invite to draw up next to him that we find throughout the Bible.

Join us, on the 3rd Monday of the month, as we stand-in-the-gap in prayer for our Mission Possible partners - Charlie and Sandra Dick, the Swanson family, Claire Simpson, and Steadfast Global. All that’s required is an hour out of your day, and a willingness to be alert in prayer.

Join us as we pray for Pitlochry’s Alpha course which runs from 12th January - 23rd February 2020. The Alpha Course is one of the most amazing tools in the hands of the Church today. Combining food, a talk and good conversation, people can explore the Christian faith in a relaxed and non-threatening environment. Our intention at Alpha Prayer is to specifically cover that gathering in prayer. Join us!
